Having your child abducted is undoubtedly every parent’s worst nightmare. It’s a situation that no parent ever wants to imagine, let alone experience.
In a recent viral post that’s been circulating online, a father named Alan Lim took to Facebook to share a harrowing experience that his family went through.
The father of three took it upon himself to share the story in hopes of raising awareness about the incident that occurred in Kuching.
In the post, Alan revealed that the incident occurred on the 1st day of school, which he described as a dark day for him and his family.
His 2nd daughter, Cherie, was kidnapped by an unknown person while she was playing outside the house.
Cherie was playing outside with the neighbours
Alan went on to explain that all 3vof his children were playing outside with 3 other children from the neighbourhood. He mentioned that this was their usual daily activity.
“Unexpected and unfortunate events can occur to anyone, often in the blink of an eye, something I never imagined could happen to my family and me.”
He then shared how his daughter was grabbed from behind, as the kidnapper quickly pushed her into the passenger side of a white car and locked the door from the inside.
The kidnapper confessed to being a “sex maniac”
The neighbours’ children quickly informed their parents about Cherie’s abduction. Without hesitation, the neighbour rushed out of the house to intervene and prevent the unknown man from fleeing.
“My neighbours risked their lives by standing in front of the kidnapper’s car, preventing him from making a run for it before I reached the scene. I ran as fast as I could, barefoot, and words cannot describe how I felt at that moment.”
It turned out that Alan initially feared Cherie had been hit by the car, prompting him to check underneath it, but found no signs of her.
His neighbour then alerted him that Cherie was locked inside the car. Alan rushed to open the back door with all his might, and he succeeded. What made things worse was when the kidnapper, upon being caught, confessed to being a “sex maniac”.

“I fought with all my strength, helped by my neighbour, to pull the kidnapper out of the car through the opened driver’s side window. We were fortunate that he hadn’t closed the window. The kidnapper even hit my neighbour’s hand with a steering lock as he tried to turn off the car engine.”
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Alan shared his gratitude and stressed how lucky he feels to have rescued his daughter in time and to have been given another opportunity.
“It’s a lesson for all of us that these things can happen to anyone. I hope my experience reminds people of the importance of supervising children when they play outside.”
Alan concluded the post by mentioning that it had been a tough week for him and his family, and they have already filed a report.
