For riders, the helmet is there for a reason – to protect your head from major injuries if an accident happens by reducing the impact. A Malaysian man recently learned his lesson after receiving a summon from the police and decided to tell the police about it.

In a viral TikTok clip by @akramrosmi, Akram, who was riding his bike casually (and happily) approached the police officer who was in a PDRM patrol car parked by the road, and shared his excitement about wearing a helmet.

He bravely knocked on the car’s window to alert them about his presence and excitedly told them that he had his helmet on this time after getting a saman in the past.

Instead of getting praise, the policeman immediately spotted something about his ride.

“Where’s your side mirror?”

Akram “double-checked” if he was going to get another summon for not having a side mirror by asking the police, to which he was told by the police,

‘Yes, you are. Please park your motorcycle at the side,” the police told him before he descended from the car.

Akram’s excitement immediately went to disappointment as he did not expect to get another summon from the authority for a different reason. Without the presence of side mirrors on your vehicle, you’re also prone to dangers when you can’t spot other vehicles coming from other sides.

That fateful night, Akram learned another lesson. In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Akram said that many may not realise it but he was also sharing a reminder and a lesson through his viral clip.

“I’m trying to tell others that don’t ever think that we’re perfect,” Akram told WORLD OF BUZZ.

Would you have casually conversed with the police about your previous summons?
