Despite being separated from his mother for 27 years, 32-year-old Saufi Marwan Muhammad Hariri never forgot her, even for a moment.

So, after the death of his father in 2021, which left his life feeling completely empty, he decided to embark on a journey to find his biological mother in Satun, Thailand.

“For 27 years, I lived with anger because I thought my mother had abandoned me. But, when my father died, suddenly the feeling of longing for my mother became so deep.”

“My wife (32-year-old Najla Zakaria) gave me a lot of encouragement to find my mother. I don’t know where she was at the time, only that she was in Satun. Alhamdulillah, the influence and power of social media helped me meet my mother in April 2022, the day before Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” he said.

According to a report by Kosmo, his reunion with his mother, 56-year-old Che An Asri, had gone viral online recently.

Saufi Marwan, who is a teacher, said that it only took him 3 days to track down his mother through a Facebook user known as Natrah.

“If we are sincere, God will make everything easy. I posted on Facebook on April 1, 2022, and a woman named Natrah contacted me to tell me that she knew my mother in Satun. 3 days later, I got my mother’s phone number and I kept calling her.”

“After meeting my mother, only then did I know the truth. My mother had came 3 times to meet me, but failed. I feel very guilty because all this time I thought that she had left me,” he explained.

Though, he is happy now that he is reunited with her and that he knows he has 4 siblings who live with his mother in Satun.

“My life is not empty anymore, I have a mother and sisters. Now, I call my mother every day and talk to her. My only hope now is to take care of my mother.”

We’re so happy that Saufi Marwan’s family is now complete, after being reunited with his long lost mother.

Be right back, got to go get a tissue for these happy tears.
