A car is just a mode of transportation that gets you to your destination safely. Even if we’re not a fan of a particular car, we’re no one to judge it and the driver.
A Malaysian woman, however, recently received backlash from many Malaysians following her video that has circulated on social media. The caption in the video states that the woman has just alighted from her flight, and was on her way to the car that was supposedly waiting for her.
“Where’s the car? I didn’t see any red car,” the woman asked.
The man who was recording the video jokingly told her that her vehicle was waiting for her nearby and pointed to the car – an old Proton Wira. The girl immediately made it clear that she wasn’t going to board the car.
“Ew, no, I don’t want! Please stop playing around!”
The man then jokingly told her that there was no way for him to cancel the car as he has reserved the car for the day, and even the “bodyguards” were already there. Still, the woman continued to throw a small tantrum.
“It’s as if she was asked to take the garbage truck”
The woman, who is also the founder of a cosmetic product shared the clip on her TikTok account recently, and many netizens have since criticised her for insulting the car, as well as the drivers of Proton Wira.
“Thank God I don’t have a wife like her. I’m just driving an old Wira. Thankfully, my wife accepts me for what I have.”
“Are we that disgusting for driving a Wira?”
“I’m fortunate for what God has given me.”
“If it’s a manual Viva, I don’t know how would she have reacted.”
“I’m only riding a motorcycle, but I’m just fine.”
“Take a hearse. You won’t feel disgusted.”
“In 2 years, Wira will be more expensive than you.”
“She’s acting so disgusted as if she was asked to take the garbage truck.”
“There’s no point if you’re driving a luxury car with debts.”
“You’ll eventually be in the hearse. No luxury car to drive your body.”
