A Malaysian preacher, one of the activists on the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) who was detained by Israeli Forces, shared his terrifying experience when he was in the Regime’s custody.

The preacher and activist, PU Rahmat, said that he was forced to strip naked, not once, but thrice by the Regime, for “safety checks”.

A Malaysian activist said he was stripped naked by Israeli forces

PU Rahmat admitted that he was not embarrassed to share his story, as everyone is born and will die naked, and he explained where he was told to strip off his clothes.

“The first time was on board the ship, where only the regime was there. Then, it happened again at the Immigration and lastly, in prison.”

“Obviously, they were afraid that we had weapons on us. They were not as great and as strong as they thought,” PU Rahmat explained.

PU Rahmat, whose name is Rahmat Ikhsan Mohd Sofyan, also shared what he observed from the Israeli forces, commenting on the flaws in their modus operandi and saying that their movement lacked stealth. Rahmat also claimed that the Regime looked fearful because they knew they were guilty, and only the guilty ones are afraid.

Despite his courage and strength to share the story, Rahmat, however, has a reminder to all Malaysians.

“If you happen to see the video, please delete it”

In a video shared by Ahmad Nazrin, a lawyer from the Centre for Human Rights Research and Advocacy (CENTHRA), Rahmat urged everyone not to view and share the video of him being told to strip naked, in case it circulates on social media.

Previously, activists from around the globe on board the GSF were en route to the Gaza coastlines to distribute aid to the Palestinians, only to be intercepted and illegally detained by the Israeli forces. The activists were then released, and many of them, including Malaysians, had the opportunity to share their unpleasant experiences.

One of the Malaysian activists had to be admitted to the hospital due to a broken shoulder and low blood pressure, after being allegedly punched by the Regime and having her Hijab pulled off.
