Doctors declared her brain dead
Darna Tajudin, who had been in critical condition, was confirmed dead at 8:37 AM after being declared brain dead, according to Berita Harian.
Tawau District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said initial investigations showed the crash happened after a 57-year-old Toyota Hilux driver rammed into the back of a Perodua Alza driven by a 39-year-old man, which caused him to lose control.
As a result, the pickup veered onto the left shoulder of the road and hit the victim, leaving her with serious injuries.

The victim was a mom of five
Following the latest developments, Jasmin Hussin said the case is now being investigated under Section 44(1)(b) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Meanwhile, the victim’s younger sister, Yusmi Tajudin, shared that Darna leaves behind five children, aged between 9 and 18.
“Right now, we’re not sure when the burial will take place as we’re still waiting for the next procedures since the case is under police investigation,” she said.
