Most people are “wired” to think that love alone is enough to make a marriage work, but this often leads to short-lived relationships. Marriage is about building a life together, sharing dreams, supporting each other through ups and downs, and growing old side by side.

If you’re truly committed to these principles, then we can guarantee that you and your spouse will have a strong and lasting relationship. And @nolynjoy is living proof that it’s possible.

She still married him despite what he does for a living

Salina took to TikTok to share her heartwarming story of marrying her longtime partner, who works as a clown, touching the hearts of many Malaysians.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Salina revealed that despite knowing what her husband does for a living, she chose to marry him and promised to support him in whatever he does.

He wanted to follow his passion

Salina shared that they were engaged for 7 months before getting married, during which they promised to support each other financially.

“After we got married, I accompanied him to Penang for his work, pretending it was our honeymoon. It was still fun, even though we didn’t have much money at the time.”

She revealed that even after they were married, her husband continued working as a clown, often taking jobs from people regardless of how much they paid him.

They started other businesses as well

Salina admitted that their journey wasn’t always smooth sailing, but seeing how hard her husband worked to pursue his passion gave them both hope.

“We had a principle that we wouldn’t rely on other people, instead, we found our own way.”

In addition to the clown business, they also started another venture selling food products, using his clown entertainment as the branding.

She mentioned that since she always accompanied her husband for work, she decided to learn face painting. They incorporated this new skill into his clown entertainment package to generate additional income.

Their hard work finally paid off!

Over the years, Salina’s husband’s work gained widespread recognition, including among Malaysian celebrities who frequently booked him for jobs.

“I remember people questioning me about my husband’s job as a clown. They would ask how much he made to support our family and even suggested I find someone who could guarantee me a better life.”

Despite the doubts, their hard work paid off. Salina shared that her husband eventually took her on a cruise, bought her gold, and treated her to fancy hotels and more.

After 13 years of marriage, they also finally managed to buy a landed house with their hard-earned money.

“Don’t ever give up in chasing your dreams”

Salina ended the interview with a piece of advise, saying,

“If you think your job is just average, don’t get discouraged or quit. If you continue to work hard, you’ll eventually succeed. When you do things with good intentions and honesty, they usually turn out well. Even a small reward can be enough for us to be grateful.”
