A Malaysian man, confident that his wife would trust him as always, told her another familiar lie before heading out.

He claimed he was going on an outstation trip, but in reality, he spent the night at another woman’s house.

However, while he very much enjoyed the night, he couldn’t escape the sudden reflection and the waves of emotions that followed.

On the bed of his mistress, the man was hit by a sudden wave of guilt and regret, which immediately reminded him of one person – his beloved wife.

He grabbed his phone and sent his wife a simple but heartwarming message, “I love you”

The next day, the wife questioned the sudden text. He replied that he was merely missing her while they were apart.

After being swept up in a whirlwind of emotions, the man stated that he began treating his wife more kindly and made an effort to project a positive image of their relationship on social media.

“I posted and shared our photos on social media, just to maintain the positive image of our connection,” he said in an anonymous Facebook post.

Regardless, the man struggles with another truth he can’t escape

As much as he loves his wife, the thrill of being with the other woman constantly pulls him back, prompting him to question why his wife can’t be like the mistress.

“Once, I was on my phone with my wife in the car, and the other woman was being physically intimate with me while I was on the phone. Why can’t my wife be like that?”

While he acknowledged the infidelity was wrong, he cited the fading spark at home, saying that none of these would have happened if the warmth had never left.
