After Coldplay’s amazing performance in Kuala Lumpur last night, 22 November, many Malaysians will carry that experience with them as a night to remember. But for one very special couple, the night may hold a more personal place in their hearts when compared to others.
Malaysian content creator and travel influencer Kamarul Sulaiman was among the many fans who attended Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour concert in Bukit Jalil. However, he was lucky enough to experience the celebration of a couple sitting just two rows in front of him, when a man proposed to his girlfriend.
Capturing the moment and sharing it on his TikTok page @suamitiffany, Kamarul recorded the moment the man got down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend, who was sitting on his left. At the point of his proposal, Coldplay happened to be on stage singing their hit single from 2000, Yellow.
Filled with cheer all around them, other concert goers also pulled out their phones to capture the moment as the girlfriend accepted her boyfriend’s proposal. The man, now her fiancé, slips the ringer on her finger before the two embrace, sharing in the moment that will last a lifetime.
Filled with happiness for the newly engaged couple, commenters also praised those who sat nearby the duo, including Kamarul, for celebrating the monumental life step while a live concert was going on in the background.
“Dear future boyfriend, if you don’t do this, I’m going to start screaming,” jokingly wrote one user.
