The 17th of March was a pretty disappointing day to be a Malaysian as despite the government banning mass gatherings and implementing the Movement Control Order, thousands still took buses and crowded Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS). Even after the government banned inter-state travel, netizens still chose to ambush police stations. Do we not understand simple instructions and that we’re currently in the middle of a PANDEMIC? Well, one person’s selfishness may have endangered the lives of others who travelled with him.
A passenger who travelled from Johor Bahru to Kuantan in an interstate bus has been tested positive for Covid-19. Free Malaysia Today reported that the Kuantan Health Department has confirmed this and are urging whoever who travelled with the passenger to get themselves tested as well. The passenger’s travel details are as follow:
- Bus: Plusliner Express
- Number plate: VDJ 2367
- Trip date: March 16th 2020
- Destination: Larkin Sentral station, 4 pm to Kuantan Terminal Sentral.
The passenger had undergone a Covid-19 screening at Johor Bahru but refused to be quarantined, and instead chose to take a bus trip to Kuantan. The test results returned during this time.
Please, please, please, if you happen to have travelled on that date and time, get yourself tested immediately. We cannot emphasise this enough, but this is not the time to be selfish!
