Taking to Twitter, a netizen shared a video showing how beggars, allegedly part of a syndicate often run by foreign nationals, have taken over the streets of Bukit Bintang.

As we all know, Bukit Bintang is a major tourist and commercial hub, so the sight of beggars posing as locals to make a quick buck is far from positive.

Sharing his experience, the man began his video by recounting what happened the day before:

“This incident happened yesterday when a Rohingya beggar approached me and made a scene, which drew a few locals to come forward and help.”

“They offered to help, saying they would chase the beggar away. I thought they would do what they said, but it turns out they were accomplices,” he explained.

He added, “So, this is the problem. They use foreign kids to beg while they hang out at this convenience store in Jalan Alor.”

The man continued his walk through Jalan Alor and located several individuals he identified as members of the syndicate.

With evidence of child exploitation, human trafficking, and organised crime, netizens commenting on the video have urged authorities to take strict action against those involved.
