If you used to be one of the procrastinators back in college, you’ll definitely remember when you needed to brainstorm ideas for the reasons to delay the submission of your assignments.

For this one unfortunate student, she managed to complete her assignments before the deadline but she was unable to submit them. And the reason may not be something that you would have ever thought of.

A Twitter user who works as a lecturer shared via her Twitter account, Saudagar Bubur Lambuk an experience with a student who wasn’t able to submit a completed assignment.

“In my 9 years of teaching, this is the 1st time where 1 one of my students told me that her assignments had been eaten by the rabbit. Should I laugh, or cry, or be mad? Oh god!”

We cannot imagine how hard it must be for the student to reach out and tell the truth!

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Saudagar Bubuk Lambuk revealed that she believed and accepted the reason that was given to her.

“I was just stunned and speechless to receive such an excuse,” she added.

In the meantime, she had also instructed the unfortunate student to resubmit her assignments based on her new given deadline.

At the time of writing, her post has gained nearly 6,000 retweets and surprisingly, netizens were able to relate to the unfortunate event that the student had to endure, especially the ones with pets.

“My friend used to have his assignment eaten by a goat. Back then, we were using a typewriter. Luckily, the lecturer accepted the excuse. My friend is now a lecturer in UKM.”

“I believe the student. I have a pet rabbit too. My documents, bag and vape were all bitten by it.”

“My cat has peed on my thick art portfolio. Weeks of effort got ruined in a night!”

“It (the cat) has peed on my laptop, bitten a handphone charger cable that was purchased not even a day ago, bitten a mouse cable till it tore, scratched my income tax document till it tore to pieces, scratched a school book, scratched my handbag till there was a hole and the list goes on.”

We’re glad that the student was given a 2nd chance to resubmit her assignment as to have a huge gap in your carry marks is certainly devastating! Pet owner, have you ever had such problems to worry about?
