Lecturers are often thought to be boring people. Speaking in a monotone voice and reading aloud from a textbook – we’re used to how lecturers are portrayed to be in mainstream media.

But not today.

Being passionate and stimulating, lecturers today are thought of being the parental figures responsible for whipping young adults into shape.

One lecturer did just that when he visited the home of his students to understand the reason why his students were absent to class that day. Here is a video of the lecturer visiting his student’s humble abode to give them their much-needed shock therapy.

Clearly shocked at the presence of their lecturer at the door, panic ensued.

“Is Munir here? Hey Munir, you have a class with me right now right? Why are you still sleeping, Munir!”

Clearly their favorite lecturer, the students went up to greet him as he entered their living space.

The students then hastily got ready, upon which the lecturer began his ‘lecture’ on the spot.

“It is already 9.30 am and there are a lot of things that I would like to cover in class today, so hurry up!”

The video is then skipped to the moment when his students entered his classroom just in time for him to announce that class has ended and for them to come for his next lecture the following week.

Shared on the Instagram page of @izlamn, the lecturer in the video was identified as Mr. Reza – a lecturer with the Jabatan Rekabentuk and Komunikasi Visual.

“Our lecturer went searching for us at home, after finding out that we were not in class. Thank you Mr. Reza, we will always remember all that you taught us.”

Well isn’t that nice?

Let’s hope that the students involved in the video will now have a sense of responsibility to arrive in class on time, especially when they have a dedicated lecturer teaching and preparing them for the future.
