A social media influencer went live on TikTok LIVE while enjoying a meal in public and recorded the woman seated at the next table without her consent. However, that was not the only concern.

He also made obscene remarks about the woman who was eating alone, saying that he wanted to grope her.

A Malaysian influencer livestreamed a woman without her consent and made lewd remarks about her, all in front of his wife

And he made the remarks in front of his wife, who “was cool” with the joke. The footage circulated on TikTok and Instagram after several users re-uploaded a clip of the video showing the girl’s face clearly visible, while the man and his followers made sexually explicit and obscene comments, including on the woman’s outfit.

The woman was completely unaware that she was being recorded.

“A thousand apologies, this was my first mistake.”

Last night (6 November), the influencer issued a public apology following the online criticisms that he faced for the remarks he made that went viral, saying that he was sorry for the incident. His wife, who was seated in front of him during the incident, was also heard laughing during the incident.

The man, however, said that his wife was laughing at another matter that she read on her phone, and not the remarks that were made.

“Everyone makes mistakes, and this was my first mistake. I consider this my fault.”

He then highlighted that he was well aware of the criticisms online, saying that he chose to ignore the negative perceptions that were thrown at him after the incident.

“I saw the comments, including those that called me stupid. But it’s okay, it’s up to you. I apologise to all Malaysians for this matter.”

The influencer has deactivated his TikTok account, but his apology video was reshared by social media users.

What do you think of the whole situation?
