Most kids might have a complicated relationship with their parents, but it’s safe to say that almost all have a pretty heart warming and sincere connection with their grandparents.
None was clearer than that displayed between Malaysian singer and content creator Fiq, who shared a cute moment between him and his grandmother, who he refers to as Tok.
In the clip shared to his TikTok page @notyourfiqqy, Fiq can be seen guiding his grandmother, who is sitting in a wheelchair. For a brief moment, Fiq leans the wheelchair back and lifts Tok into the air. Shocking her, she immediately turns around and lightly taps him.
Moving her down a small slope, the person taking the video, who is Fiq’s relative, told him to let the wheelchair go, implying to let his grandmother slide down. Panicking for a moment, Tok tries to find a way to stand up, before realising she can’t. Giving up and with zero emotion on her face, Tok casually sits back, prepared for anything.
Chuckling at the moment, the video ends with Fiq eventually moving Tok back to where the rest of his family is.
Spreading laughs in the comments section, many Malaysians expressed how bad they felt for laughing, but could clearly see how close the duo’s relationship is.
“She surrendered for a moment after realising she still can’t stand, she gave up,” joked one user.
Other commenters also mentioned how warm the video made them feel, saying that they had similar relationships with their grandmothers before they had passed on.
In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Fiq said that his grandmother loves having him around as company, and that they have a very special bond. According to the singer, Tok always asks where his whereabouts are and when he will be able to visit her.
“Even if I take her out the day before, she will still look for me the next day and tell me she misses me,” said Fiq to WORLD OF BUZZ.
When showing her the video, Fiq mentioned that she would have a good laugh after watching it, and thanking him for bringing out her inner child.
