Each individual’s journey is a unique story shaped by personal backgrounds and aspirations. One such inspiring story comes from Athirah, a recent graduate in Accounting from UiTM, Malaysia.

@athirahsahiraaziz‘s academic accomplishment wasn’t a walk in the park, as she successfully overcame the challenges of balancing her studies with a thriving business.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, she shared that her interest in the banana fritters business dates back to her childhood. Even before getting into the banana fritters business, she showcased her entrepreneurial spirit by selling spaghetti sausages, going door-to-door within the UiTM community.

She emphasised that her decision to venture into business was driven by her independence and the satisfaction of earning her own income, a journey that began at the young age of 15.

“Whenever I go out with friends, I’ll just use the money I’ve worked for rather than asking for it from my parents. There’s a different kind of satisfaction when you use your own hard-earned money.”

Her choice of the banana fritters business was inspired by her father’s well-known business, Goreng Pisang Pak Ajis, in the Jalan Kebun area. Witnessing her parents’ hard work as they aged motivated her to step away from her role as an accountant executive at a small-medium company after three years, opting to establish her own branch.

Her goal is not just personal success but also to contribute to her parents’ well-being. Her journey has struck a chord with netizens, who, in response, have expressed their love and support through comments.

“Yes, you’re right. I am a Unimas graduate, but I still don’t have a job. However, I’m grateful and love doing online business. Always trust the process.”

“There are so many people with a certificate, but perhaps it’s not their destiny to be working in an air-conditioned place, in a nice building. However, always be proud of how far you’ve come.”

“Keep going.”

When asked for advice for others struggling to manage both business and studies, she stated,

“Education is never a waste of time, in my opinion. Of course, higher education won’t guarantee wisdom, but an educated person will possess some wisdom to take on everyday life decisions.”
