It’s very normal for guys to slip into girls’ direct messages and like a long list of your photos at one go on Instagram, but what’s not very normal is when the guy is someone who is famous, influential and world-renowned.

Though what happens when the oldest prime minister in the world likes a bunch of your photos on Instagram?

He retracts his likes, of course, because it wasn’t truly him.

N a n a (@nanashiiee) took to her Twitter page to showcase screenshots which show a list of her Instagram photos liked by none other than Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohammad.

She wrote, “Tun M liked my pictures. You got?”

Unfortunately for N a n a, it turns out that it was our Prime Minister’s official account, but it probably wasn’t him who liked the pictures. Netizens took to her thread to point out the obvious, that Tun M has an administrator or assistant handling his social media accounts.

This comment says, “Please don’t be so full of yourself, Tun M doesn’t go on Instagram, this was his administrator’s doing. Kay, bye.”

Tun M’s account has since retracted the likes.

I guess it’s safe to say, there’s probably going to be a new opening on Tun M’s social media team?

N a n a’s posting has since garnered over 2,000 retweets.

Reminder, always check which social media account you’re using before engaging in shady activities.
