When you ask for someone’s number, regardless of their gender or orientation, you’re putting them in a difficult situation. There’s pressure to respond, especially when you don’t intend to give them your number in return. So what do you do then?
In a recent viral video that’s been circulating, @abang_alii shared an incident on his Instagram involving his wife and an unknown man.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Ali disclosed that the incident took place at the valet parking area in Melawati Mall sometime around 3pm. He explained that his wife rolled down the windows to speak with the valet attendant.
Shortly after, Ali’s wife recounted that an unknown man pulled up beside her to greet her while they were both still in their cars. She mentioned that she has never seen this man before and that this was their first interaction. However, she chose to ignore him and rolled up her windows again.
As the woman stepped out of her car, the man stopped her and asked for her number. Despite her telling him she was married and declining his request, he insisted, saying, “No worries, I just want us to be friends.”
Ali’s wife ended up giving him a random number. He took it down and even tried to call it to see if she received the call, after which she quickly ran back to her car.
“When the man called the number, my wife informed him that the phone associated with that number was in her car. Upon getting into her car, she quickly attempted to call me.”
As heard in the video, Ali’s wife attempted to make a call, but the number was not in service. Ali revealed that she was trying to reach him but getting service at his workplace is always tricky.
“The primary reason I posted the video is to raise awareness for other women out there to be more cautious when exiting their vehicles, especially when they are alone.”
Ali expressed,
“My wife is now scared to go out alone. While some might see it as a small matter, but incidents like this can have a significant impact on someone.”
Ali concluded the conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ with advice for all the women out there,
“If possible, always have someone accompany you when going out alone. If you find yourself alone, ensure you’re aware of your surroundings. If you sense someone watching or following you, simply drive to the nearest police station to seek help.”
