When it comes to employee ethics, it’s always best to be on time for work as it shows that you treat your job with respect.
W have heard many stories of employers treating their employees poorly. This time round, it appears that this employee has been taking his boss’ kind heart for granted.
Just over 2 days ago, a post was shared on a Facebook group attaching a few screenshots conversations and punch card of an employee.
According to the post, it seems like the boss has decided to “kick” the employee out of their group chat after being MIA multiple times and always being late to work.
Prior to this, the employee texted his boss asking if they have work on a public holiday and the boss replied,
“We work as per usual; this is a car wash center not a government office.”
After that, it could be seen that he has blue ticked the boss’ message and when his boss messaged him again, he did not respond.
The boss has then decided to remove him from the group chat and that’s when he decided to reply to his boss.
In the screenshot, he texted the boss asking him why he removed him from the group and that he is on his way to work.
He started pleading with his boss for a second chance, saying that he merely overslept and that he was already about to leave to work.
He explained to his boss saying that his mom is facing some issues as well and that he really needs the job.
The boss then replied him saying,
“If it’s a small matter I can tolerate, but you’re late every time and it affects our work.
Take a look at your own punch card, I don’t want to keep calling and asking where you are, it’s affecting my business.”
Many netizens support the action of the boss
“You shouldn’t have to keep such a person in the workplace, it’ll just trouble the colleagues and boss.”
“Waking up late means you have discipline issues, of course he’ll get it.”
“Then he’ll go around complaining that the company and boss didn’t treat him well.”
How would you feel if you have a colleague like that? Do you feel tardiness is a big deal?
