Those who have worn or are currently wearing braces will be the only ones to understand the kind of discomfort and inconvenience it can sometimes cause to your mouth. But little did we know that it can also bring us some comedic joy too.
Malaysian TikTok user Sapeah shared a short clip of herself discussing a funny instance she encountered recently on her account @sophieis.me. Currently wearing braces, Sapeah revealed details of a conversation she had with a random person she bumped into.
“When I was talking to her, she asked me, ‘Sister, why do you have noodles stuck in your teeth?’,” said Sapeah before bursting out in pure laughter.
Speaking on the matter, Sapeah stated that this is not the first time a person has asked her the same question. Clearing up the confusion, Sapeah stated how she requires using an elastic band for her braces, and that it isn’t actually a stray noodle stuck in her teeth.
“I didn’t expect that one could feel shy even when wearing braces,” she said at the end of the clip while chuckling about the confusion.
Making waves online, other Malaysians also found humour in Sapeah’s video. One Malaysian even stated that they weren’t aware those kinds of patterns existed, while another also asked a genuine question about how Sapeah eats with the band in her mouth.
“It looks like the Rawang Bypass sister, with the crosses over the braces,” jested one user.
However, a couple of users also stated that this may not be as bad as other kinds, mentioning arch bar braces, which are ones attached to teeth using screws.
