We’re Malaysians, which automatically means WE’RE FOODIES. Being blessed with a multicultural country, we were raised with excellent food. So, naturally we expect good food everywhere. Even if the food isn’t good, the least it CAN be is hygienic. But, this Twitter user didn’t even get both, unfortunately.
@KokonKola visited a famous steamboat restaurant in the hopes of getting some good food but what he got instead was HORROR. Nah, just kidding. They were cockroaches!!
He had spotted a huge cockroach on one of the water dispensers and the staff only attended to it after he informed them about it. This is not the common small cockroaches you see tau! Eeeekkkk!
He wrote in his post,
“I paid RM50 unknowingly to spot a cockroach at the drink machine. Told the cashier Shamsul about it and he asked foreigner staff to go and catch it. If that wasn’t enough, I found a leg in my Tomyam soup. RT to save a life.”

He even took a video of it as proof!

Many would find this a stomach-churning incident already. Netizens who saw the post expressed their discomfort, especially when a popular establishment like theirs is not protecting their customers by taking care of their hygiene.
We hope the Health Ministry runs an investigation on the case as large cockroaches like these can transmit very bad diseases to us humans, especially when comsuming their waste matter.
