“I still love my wife and child”

The father of one, who didn’t have a lawyer, got emotional as he asked for a lighter sentence, saying he still loves his wife and child.

“After 40 days locked up, I just want to see them. I can’t handle staying in jail any longer,” he said.

Deputy public prosecutor Farah Wahidah Mohd Sharip handled the case, where earlier, the prosecution shared a statement from the wife in court.

In it, she shared her fear and frustration, saying,

“I’m scared of my husband. I don’t want to live with him anymore. I don’t understand why I’m always being hit for no reason.”
