Medicines, if taken wrongly, can lead to deadly consequences. Unfortunately, a Malaysian woman suspects her father’s recent death is related to the injection and the consumption of sheep placenta.
In 3 lengthy Facebook posts, the woman, Grace, said that a week prior to her father’s death on December 21, 2022, he begin to develop multiple symptoms, such as vomiting, chills, and shivering. The symptoms persisted for days, and the family initially thought the father was down with Covid, but all tests were negative.
On the night of December 21, Grace went home only to find her father’s lifeless body in his bedroom. While Grace’s brother attempted to perform CPR on their father, she called for the ambulance. When the medical officers arrived, they said that Grace’s father had apparently passed away a few hours back, which prompted her to collapse and cry.
The family lodged a police report and the police allowed them to decide if they wanted to allow the medical officers to perform an autopsy, to which they agreed. The next day, Grace received a call from the hospital, and the doctor told her that her late father sustained no injuries and had a healthy heart. However, they noticed a stone in his gallbladder.
“There was supposed to be liquid in the gallbladder, but there wasn’t. There was only whitish pus,” Grace said.
The doctor said there were only two possible reasons – high cholesterol, or bacterial infections. Grace immediately said it was the latter as her father practised a healthy lifestyle, and he was particular about what he ate.
This time, the symptoms that her father had earlier made sense, and the doctor asked if Grace’s father was on any medication.
Grace then discovered a sheep placenta medication inside her father’s locker, which shocked her as nobody knew that her father was on that medication – Ovine Placenta Concentrate.
She dug deeper to find out more about the truth and found out from a receipt that her late father has been taking the medication since 2018. But the more she discovered, the more she was baffled.
- The kind of injections and medications were simply written on paper, instead of being typed out.
- No prices were disclosed.
- No specific dates were stated (only month and year).
Grace visited the centre to ask for further information, including the certificate, which the centre refused to disclose due to the formulation trade secret that they apparently can’t allow their competitors to see.
“I asked them if they could show me another form of certificate, which they replied, the manufacturing license,” Grace said.
Grace also found out that when her father was ill, he visited the centre almost every day, and the centre was not entirely aware of his condition.
“We noticed that his amount of white blood cells was more than usual, and he told us that his urine colour was brownish.”
Grace then began to find out more about the doctors, and she was shocked to find out that one of the doctors in the centre was a former officer in KKM, who was also involved in a crime. On top of that, the website of the said centre “warns” visitors NOT to disclose the information of the doctors, or they will take legal action.
“I couldn’t screenshot, I couldn’t share the link, I couldn’t share on my social media because it’s a criminal offense to do so,” Grace explained.
As she doesn’t want to be involved in any legal procedures, Grace decided NOT to disclose any information about the place and the doctors but she chose to warn others about taking the medication.
As for her father’s cause of death, the medical officers said that it will take months, maybe even a year to figure out the precise cause of death. You may read the full details of Grace’s story beginning from Part 1 below.

Grace also stated that she read many articles about the banning of sheep placenta injection overseas. But in Malaysia, the legality of it is still in the grey area, according to a doctor friend of hers. Perhaps this should be a reminder to all of us to be vigilant when it comes to any kind of medication.
