“A father doesn’t tell you that he loves you. He shows you” – Dimitri the Stoneheart
A mother’s love knows no bound but a father’s love shouldn’t be forgotten too. Recently, a post in the Facebook group Family Camping Malaysia portrayed how far a father can go to express his love towards the family. While people mostly camp by the beach or the river, this Malaysian man decided to camp outside a hospital in Ipoh so that he can be close to his wife and son.
His youngest son, who is only 8 was admitted to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) after being diagnosed with brain tumour. The man, Adi, parked his Proton Satria at the parking lot outside the hospital and set up an extended canopy behind his car so he can sleep there.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Adi said that 2023 has been tough for him so far as his son was diagnosed on 3rd January. The operation was a success and at the time of writing, his son is in stable condition but major supervision is still required. His son is accompanied by his wife in the ward, and Adi decided to sleep in his Proton Satria so that he can get his rest easily, and conveniently walk into the hospital when the doctor summons him.
“Aside from financial constraint, it’s easier for me to be in the hospital when the doctor calls me as parking can be an issue here,” Adi added.
He said that he refuses to be far away from his family during this tough time, hence the decision to camp outside the hospital. Adi, who is a father to 3 kids said that his 2 other children are being taken care of by relatives at the moment.
Adi also told WORLD OF BUZZ that, fortunately, he has not received any complaints regarding his “camp” at the parking lot.
“My spot does not interfere with the flow of the traffic at the hospital as I’m parked at the side of the road.”
The family man also revealed that he is from Sungkai, Perak, where it’ll take around 1 hour for him to drive home from the hospital.
Stay strong, Adi! We hope nothing but the best outcome for your son, and may God bless Adi and his family.
