When it comes to our beloved pets, we’d hate to leave them alone whenever we have to travel abroad or be away for a period of time. The emergence of pet hotels and pet care centres, appears to have solved this problem.

However, it appears that sometimes, our pets may not get the attention and care that we pay for at these establishments.

A woman recently shared her horrible experience after having left her cats at a well known pet hotel for 3 days.

In a TikTok video, the woman said, “I am so so disappointed with this 5 stars cats hotel bullsh*t. I got an expensive room so that my cats got good treatment, with CCTV.”

She added that she messaged them at 10am and they only replied at 6pm. “After that they told me that the CCTV is faulty and didn’t even bother to repair it. So what did I pay an expensive room for?

The room apparently costed RM70 per night. It can fit up to 3-4 adult cats and includes 3 feeding times, 1 play time, CCTV, video and photo updates as well as toys and litter, pet bowl and food.

In the conversation between her and the cat hotel, the worker had allegedly said that they provided the cats with wet food. However, the cats refused to eat as they were not comfortable with their surroundings.

But, the TikTok user said that they didn’t even bother to make an effort to comfort the cats, hence why they didn’t eat.

“My cats starved for 3 days! I checked CCTV every 10 mins and didn’t even see any playtime for my cats. The video and photo updates were nonsense since they took 8 hours to reply to messages.”

The user went on to curse at the cat hotel for their horrible service and care.

Other users shared similar experiences

The TikTok video went viral and has been viewed over 84,100 times. In the comments section, plenty of netizens shared similar complaints regarding the cat hotel.

“I also received bad service here. I sent for 5-6 days and got the CCTV room, they told me that their WIFI was not working. When I got my cat back, it had fleas,” said one user.

Another user said, “I’ve heard a lot of things about this place. This includes a story about a cat that was sent for grooming but its nails were cut until it was bleeding.”

I went to this exact branch and my cat died… apparently while they were grooming it, it stopped breathing and they were too late to send it to the vet,” commented another user.

We hope that the said cat hotel is investigated for all of its alleged wrong doings.
