In the realm of TikTok, where viral videos captivate our screens, there’s one particular gem that has recently caught the attention of thousands. Shared by Shaf @mrgterkejut, this TikTok video showcases a delightful encounter between his friend and a young boy with a sliced mango business.
With 72.6K likes and counting, this funny yet inspiring interaction has left viewers charmed by the young entrepreneur’s assertiveness and quick wit.
In the video, we hear Shaf’s friend inquire about the price of the sliced mangoes, “How much is this?” to which the young boy confidently responds, “RM5”.
However, upon declining to make a purchase, the boy swiftly retorted, “If you don’t want to buy, then just now don’t sit and stare at me”. This unexpected response earned a stunned reaction from Shaf’s friend, followed by shared laughter at the boy’s remarkably grown-up remark.
Undeterred by the initial refusal, the boy persists in his pursuit. When Shaf’s friend playfully mentions forgetting his money, the boy cheekily replies, “You have many excuses!” This bold and assertive approach to selling his sliced mangoes earns him a well-deserved applause.
Persistence pays off as Shaf’s friend reaches into his pocket and hands the boy RM10. However, the young entrepreneur still has a trick up his sleeve. He informs Shaf’s friend, “I don’t have spare change”, to which Shaf’s friend responds, “It’s okay, you can keep the change”.
Yet, the boy’s entrepreneurial spirit remains unwavering. He insists that Shaf’s friend should purchase two pack of sliced mangoes, stating, “Why won’t you just buy two?” Clearly, he understands the value of maximising sales.
Shaf’s friend explains that he doesn’t consume mangoes as much. However, he offers the boy RM10 and encourages him to keep the extra amount as additional food expenses.
With a slightly displeased expression, the boy accepts the arrangement with a straightforward “Okay, thank you”. As he walks away, he can’t resist reminding Shaf’s friend, “Buy two, listen to what I said”. Undeniably, his persistence leaves a lasting impression.
Shaf’s friend can’t help but asked about the boy’s age, “How old are you kid?”, the boy replied with a stern tone, “You don’t have to ask about my age because you didn’t buy two!”
Amidst laughter and amusement, Shaf and his friend find the boy’s playful tongue gesture funny. Though slightly annoyed, the boy’s charm shines through, adding an extra touch of endearment to the encounter.
In an interview with WORLD OF BUZZ, Shaf explained,
“Actually, the kid was selling sliced mangoes. At that time, we had just returned from work and stopped by a food stall to hang out. While waiting for our food to arrive, we were chatting. Within that time, the boy came over to sell fruits.”
The boy’s salesmanship while offering his sliced mangoes left netizens amused.
“The boy possesses remarkable intelligence when it comes to marketing his products.”
“He excels in direct sales, employing the most effective methods.”
“This boy is truly impressive, like selling DVDs.”
