Road maintenance is a never-ending issue in Malaysia, with various local government departments failing to take responsibility for road works in general.

And who falls victim to the failure of these organizations failure to do their jobs? The people, of course!

In Jalan Kapar-Meru, such an incident happened when potholes plaguing the area caused a motorcyclist to end up sprawling unconscious as he was flung from his motorcycle that hit quite a deep pothole.

Here is a video of the incident.

In the incident which saw 2.1k comments on the incident, many did not only comment on how potholes like this should have been fixed by local authorities but also the fact that no one stopped to help the man to begin with!

Come on Malaysians!

“How can people simply pass by without helping? It is a good thing that motorcyclists stopped and helped.”

Another commented on how motorcyclists should avoid potholes entirely.

Wob 003 1

“Let’s just avoid potholes entirely. We may not know how deep it may be.”

For whatever reason, this video teaches us two things; firstly to avoid potholes, force local authorities to do something about it, and to always lend a hand when we can.
