As exciting as it is to go on holiday, many people dread the long hours of flying in an airplane. From having to deal with noisy passengers to having to go through nauseating turbulence; let’s just say flying is not the most comfortable situation to be in.
However, on a Facebook post, a netizen shared how a mother did the unexpected on a 10-hour flight from Seoul, Korea to San Francisco. In the middle of the flight, the mother handed out 200 goodie bags that she prepared for the other passengers in case her 4-month-old baby starts to cry. How thoughtful!
Attached to each goodie bag was a note explaining the intention behind this thoughtful gesture from her baby’s perspective. The note said,
“Hello, I’m Junwoo and I’m 4 months old. Today, I am going to the U.S. with my mom and grandmom to see my aunt. I’m a little bit nervous and scared because it’s my first flight in my life. That means that I may cry or make too much noise. I will try to go quietly, though I can’t make any promises. Please excuse me.”
“So my mom prepared little goodie bags for you! It has some candies and earplugs. Please use it when it’s too noisy because of me. Enjoy your trip. Thank you.”
This reminds me of the PS4 game Baby May Cry.
The netizen that posted the “very touching gesture” also confirmed that the baby surprisingly did not make any noise throughout the flight. Naturally, the comments section was flooded with numerous comments on how thoughtful the mother was and how sweet it was of her to do so. We agree!
