Almost everybody loves a great but unlikely animal friendship.

But this story may seem a little different as this time it involves an over-eager monkey and its pet cat. Their bonding session caught the attention of our friends over at Thailand who was quick to post photos of video all over social media.

Chan Dfc managed to record the ‘catnapping’ as it took place on the roofs of houses.

The monkey didn’t mean any harm as it gave the kitty some bananas to eat and even helped the kitty out by peeling it. Unfortunately, the kitty wasn’t interested in eating the bananas and could be heard meowing away, according to witnesses, signalling its hunger.

Many videos revealed the monkey holding onto the kitten very delicately, yet lovingly.

Here is another one with the monkey cuddling the kitty for the world to see.

Truth be told, when we saw the two completely different creatures forming an everlasting friendship, it left a warm feeling inside all of us.

However, having a monkey catnapping a kitten may sound very amusing at first but many netizens also pointed out how this may be very dangerous for the little kitty.

People left comments updating that authorities are called to try to help pry the kitten away from the monkey so it may be taken care of and fed.

The unlikely scene has caught the attention of netizens all over the world! We’re just glad the kitten is safe.

What are your thoughts on this situation? Alarming or cute? Or perhaps both?
