Have you ever wondered what life would be once you’re old and your loved ones have all passed on?
One elderly uncle in Ipoh drastically changed his life after the passing of his wife, and disclaimer, prepare some tissue for the tears.
Aus Meshi took to his Twitter account to showcase uncle Osman, a cobbler in Ipoh who had sold all of his belongings after his wife had passed away. He now lives in a little shed that he uses for his footwear-fixing business.
“Lepas Isteri saya meninggal, saya jual semua harta, saya tidur kat kedai ni, Anak pun takde dik”

“After my wife passed away, I sold all of our belongings, I sleep in this shop, I don’t even have kids,” Uncle Osman had said.
Aus Meshi spoke to WORLD OF BUZZ, sharing that uncle Osman has been fixing shoes in a little hut across from the Megoplex in Ipoh since he was a young boy. After uncle Osman had sold all of his belongings, the community decided to help turn his hut into a little container.
“After his wife passed, many people came forward with donations to build the container, so that he can be more comfortable,” he said.
But, where did he sleep or bathe?
“He doesn’t have a house. He sold everything. There’s a store owner in his area. The owner runs a restaurant and allows uncle Osman to use the empty office space to bathe and sleep,” he added.
It’s truly beautiful to see how people come together to help a member of their community.
If you’re ever in Ipoh and have a pair of shoes that need fixing, don’t forget to pay uncle Osman a visit!
