Popular Malaysian comedian Harith Iskander chose to play along when a stranger “slid into his DMs” to insult him.
The unknown Facebook user had responded to Harith’s Facebook Story, which was promoting an upcoming show in Johor, by claiming he felt nauseated just by looking at the comedian.

“There’s no need for that (Harith’s show). I feel nauseated just by looking at you. I will throw up,” the user wrote.
A calm response to insensitive remarks
While the comedian could have easily ignored the troll, Harith decided to engage. He jokingly searched for images of anti-nausea medication and suggested the man buy some for “his condition.”

Likely taken aback that a celebrity would actually respond, the user escalated the situation with a further insulting remark:
“Your father’s head.”
Harith, who lost his father over a decade ago, remained remarkably calm. He chose to continue the exchange to see how far the individual would go.
“My late father passed away in 2010. What do you want me to do with his head?” Harith jokingly asked.
“I pray that Ramadan gives you peace”
In a shocking and insensitive turn, the man replied that Harith should “make a ball” out of his late father’s head. While such a statement could have sparked fury, Harith instead chose to show empathy, wishing the individual well during the holy month of Ramadan, stating:
“I understand now that not everyone comes with an argument. I pray that this Ramadan will grant you peace and calm.”
Sharing a screenshot of the exchange on his Facebook page this morning (19 February), Harith included the hashtag #forgivethem and reflected on the interaction.
The comedian was recently the subject of criticism over a joke regarding Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of jailed former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. While many social media users labelled the joke “body shaming,” Harith has yet to officially address the criticism.
