Although pythons are non-venomous, the thought of them simply chilling in the bottom of your water tub at home sounds like a nightmare.

In contrast to the usual discovery of snakes in toilet bowls, a Thailand-based news platform called Rueng Lao Chao Nee recently shared a chilling image of a python seen ‘soaking’ in the water of a shower tub on their Facebook page.

These reptiles are usually known to slither into cool or damp areas, particularly the bathroom. Numerous reports were made by homeowners finding pythons in their toilet bowls, be it sitting or squatting. So although you might not be living in an area with a lot of weeds or bushes, it’s always important to remain vigilant.

The terrifying incident can indeed dampen the desire to take a shower, but even so, based on limited sources, the place where the incident occurred and the python’s fate cannot be ascertained.

So the next time you’re about to take a shower, be extra careful for you’ll never know when you might have a serpent companion with you.
