Hsiao Shun-Wen must’ve thought he struck the jackpot when he met a virtual hottie on Facebook. But instead of meeting a strapping young thing, he found ‘she’ was in fact a ‘he’ in reality!

Romantic tensions sparked right from the start between Hsiao and the lovely lady. In fact, Hsiao was so over the moon with her, that he flew all the way to Thailand just to meet his sweetheart in Pattaya.

Pattaya Thailand? You’d think that itself would’ve raised a few red flags.

When Hsiao finally got to meet his virtual lover offline, he quickly realised the pretty young lass was a pretty young lad. Shocked, he called it off.

Apparently, the ‘pretty girl’ didn’t take it too well for they argued before his virtual sweetheart punched him right in the face and disappeared into the night.

In the wee hours of June 14, Hsiao called the police saying he had been assaulted. He and his two Chinese friends met the police outside the Bella Villa Hotel on Soi 4, according to Pattaya One.

The horrifying incident for Hsiao was so outrageous, readers were unsure whether to extend their sympathies to the guy or laugh at the terrible situation. Maybe both!

With makeup and cosmetic surgery nowadays, it’s hard to tell between the two genders.

Hey, can you blame him?
