The carefree act of a driver in Kajang became the talk of social media recently after a video of him casually driving a white Proton Saga while one of the vehicle’s tyres had been clamped went viral.
It is unknown who recorded the original footage, but the video has since been reshared by many social media users, including this TikTok post which has garnered over 162,000 views.
At the start of the 1-minute-1-second video, the man can be seen standing outside of the car while observing the clamp, which according to the text embedded on the screen, was placed by the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKJ).
The man then adjusted the clamp slightly so that it lay flat on the ground instead of vertically.
Afterwards, the man casually went inside the car and started driving away with the clamp still attached, seemingly without any care for the damage that this may done to the vehicle.
A few seconds in, the man suddenly stopped in the middle of the road, went out to check the clamp and then started driving again as the video abruptly ended.

The video was also reshared by X user @nanmanjoi8715 and received over 267 reposts. In the post’s replies, many netizens criticised the man for not just paying the compound to remove the clamp.
One commenter said that removing the compound might just be worth RM100 and that the man surely ended up paying more to fix the damages of driving with the clamp on his car tyre.
Meanwhile, another commenter jokingly said that the Proton Saga would ‘jump’ should the man drive it over a pothole with that clamp being on the tyre.
