Wah, someone give this guy a round of applause!
According to the New Straits Times, a man from Cheras was trying to stop two snatch thieves from running from the scene of their crime in a heroic but dangerous way.
The two snatch thieves reportedly snatched a bag from a girl at a bus stop in Jalan Kuari yesterday morning (4th June) and were about to flee on their motorcycle when the man spotted them.
The man was in his car when he noticed the incident occur and knew he had to act quickly before they got away.
Then, in what sounds like something straight out of a Fast and Furious movie, the man decided to drive his car towards the motorcycle.
He knocked into them, sending the two thieves flying from their getaway bike.
The two thieves have reportedly broken their right legs and were sent to Ampang Hospital for treatment.
They will also be detained for further investigations.
In a video that was just put up on Facebook yesterday, the car appeared to have taken quite a lot of damage as well. The video also shows the two injured thieves lying on the ground while being scolded by passersby.
It’s unclear whether the man who stopped the thieves will face any charges, but considering the fact that he stopped two thieves from getting away, we think the man’s quick-thinking and heroic nature is a good excuse not to charge him!
