Man Scatters Nails Out Of Moving Vehicle To Puncture Tyres Of Innocent Road Users

A video of a man scattering nails went viral on social media when the incident that took place near Changkat Larang, Lahat caught the nation’s attention as well as the authorities.

On his Twitter account, netizen @apanakdikato writes: “This person is intentionally scattering nails to ensure his business is booming. Let’s hope that people will share this video and ultimately nab this person.”

Catching police attention, we are happy to report that this person is currently under police custody.

According to Batu Gajah Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif: “The 45-year-old suspect was arrested at Changkat Larang in Lahat about 3am Saturday.

“The suspect has a drug-related criminal record and a urine test found him positive for methamphetamine.”

“The man (driver) is remanded for four days from today to assist in investigations for committing mischief. However, his motive is still being probed.”

According to the police, there have been reports of victims stating that their punctured tyres were a result of these ‘mysterious’ nails.
