The world stood still as riots broke out in New Delhi, India where Hindu mobs attacked, burnt and destroyed the homes of Muslim asylum-seekers, after the chaos began following a peaceful protest against the Indian government’s Citizen Amendment Bill.

What’s more scary is the fact that the Delhi Police Force was part of the mob, assisting in the destruction of Muslim-owned homes and businesses.

But thankfully, we are reminded that bad eggs can’t spoil the bunch. StanceGrounded (@_SJPeace_) took to his Twitter page to showcase a Hindu man named Premkant Baghel, who is fighting for his life in a hospital with burns on 70% of his body after he had saved 6 of his Muslim neighbours as mobs set their house on fire.

He wrote, “This Hindu man persisted through the flames, burning 70% of his body to save 6 of his Muslim neighbours after Hindutva mobs set their house on fire. He is fighting for his life right now. Please keep him in your prayers. A HERO. His name is Premkant Baghel. Know his name.”

The riots were caused by unrest after the government led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had threatened to shoot the peaceful Anti-CAA protesters in lieu of American President, Donald Trump’s first visit to the country.
