A man in Taiwan wanted to surprise his lover by proposing to her with a “Marry Me” sign placed in the boot of his Mercedes-Benz, but the dream never came true.
This is after the 29-year-old man was arrested by the police for narcotics found in the same car.

The man could have proposed to his girlfriend if he had parked legally
According to the Taiwanese media, the incident happened in June this year at midnight, but the images of his luxury car with the “Marry Me” sign circulated again on the Internet. A public complaint that sealed the man’s fate, whereby several illegally-parked cars were reported to the police, who then rushed to the scene to investigate the matter.
At the scene, the police noticed the 29-year-old man, Huang, who was with his girlfriend. The police, however, found Huang suspicious, so they inspected his car. A pack of white powder was found in the car’s armrest, but Huang refused to be inspected further and wanted to attack the police.

He was later pinned to the ground before confessing to ketamine use.
Police also discovered Huang had a criminal record involving firearms, drugs, and organised crime
After seizing relevant drug evidence, the case was transferred for investigation under the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act. The photos of the “Marry Me” banner, hanging in his car boot, later circulated online, with his girlfriend standing at the side as she watched her lover being subdued by the police during the scuffle.

However, it is unknown if the girlfriend knew about the drug possession and her lover’s criminal records.
