If a relationship survives simply on lust, it’s only a matter of time before things take a turn for the worse. Readers’ discretion is advised.
Recently, in Singapore, a man has been sentenced to 20 weeks of jail time after threatening his girlfriend with her naked pictures which he claimed would go online if she did not comply with whatever he wanted – satisfying his sexual needs.
The couple has been together since 2018, and her nudes have since been what’s keeping the relationship “alive”.
The man would ask his partner for nudes as much as 5 times a week. If he did not get what he wanted, he would use these “techniques” over and over again.
- Attempt suicide.
- Threaten to beat her.
- Threaten to spread her nudes online.
And that’s not even the worst-case scenario
In 2020, when the nudes were “pointless” in satisfying his sexual needs, he asked his partner to come up with a solution. Out of fear, the woman suggested he imagine himself having sex with her mother. However, simply an imagination would not “satisfy his cravings“.
He then asked his partner to take obscene images of her mother, to which she complied. She discreetly took pictures of her mother coming out of the shower with her chest revealed, according to The Straits Time.
Still, the man was not satisfied. So, he catfished a guy online by pretending to be a woman and sent his girlfriend’s nudes to the guy.
Of course, the girlfriend had attempted to end the relationship, but his “techniques” would always come into play.
“Dirty conversation“ with strangers
A year later in March 2021, lust was still giving a pulse to the relationship. When he failed to satisfy himself, once again, he told his girlfriend that he was “depressed” but also sexually aroused and needed something extreme to satisfy him.
This time, he demanded she has a “dirty conversation“ with strangers and send him the screenshots of the chit-chat. If she did not comply, her mother’s nudes would find their way online.
Days later, the girl finally found the courage to lodge a police report.
The judge has spoken
Sin Chew reported that the judge said that distributing obscene images online is no trivial matter.
“It’s not easy to withdraw the pictures after they go online. It’s similar to permanently keeping them on the internet.”
The judge also said that Singaporean society would not tolerate such corrupt behaviours and the man has to be punished to set an example.
Fortunately, the man has been sentenced to jail. If you’re seeing this red flag in your partner during the early stages, it’s best to do whatever it is necessary to keep yourself from unwanted consequences.
