When it comes to relationships, most people would want a partner that’s loyal. Unfortunately, infidelity is slowly becoming a norm as we would often hear stories about partners cheating on each other every now and then.
According to SeeHua News, a Taiwanese man who was sentenced to jail 4 years ago is suing his wife and her lover for committing infidelity.
It was reported that they had gotten married back in November 2018. He was arrested in the same year in December. The family then expanded as they welcomed a child into their lives. However, in 2019, he was sentenced to jail, and he requested for a divorce.
Her heart will not go on!
The man felt bad that his wife would have to be alone despite having a husband, so he requested for a divorce. But, his wife rejected it.
“When she visited me in prison, she had tears in her eyes and said that she was certain that she’ll wait for me to get out of prison.”
Her heart has moved on
Earlier this year, his wife then decided to request for a divorce 3 years since he first requested. Without much thinking, he signed the papers quickly as he thought that this is the least, he could do for her.
But the message he received after signing the papers were shocking to him.
On May 20, 2022, he received the news that his wife, now ex-wife had given birth to a child along with a birth certificate.
He then realised that the child is not his as his ex-wife had given birth back in March and he was still in prison.
Till betrayal do us part
He was furious when he found out as it meant that his wife had cheated on him whilst he was serving his sentence.
“I asked for a divorce, but she refused. Now she decides to cheat on me and have a child with another man!”
He then decides to sue his ex-wife and her current partner for infidelity while he was serving his sentence and requested for a $500,000TWD (RM71,000) as compensation.
As his ex-wife and her current partner did not show up to court nor release any form of statement, the court has since found them guilty which means that they would have to pay $150,000TWD (RM21,000) as compensation.
Cheating is never justifiable, and one should know that actions like these could lead to serious consequences. Do you think RM21,000 is enough as compensation? Let us know in the comments below.
