Good things come to those who wait. But clearly this isn’t working out for a lecturer’s love life.
So instead of waiting, Dr Mohd Ariff Ahmad Nazri, 32 who teaches at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia posted on Facebook to look for a wife.
In his Facebook post, he noted the criteria that his future wife should possess. Preferably, his future wife should be a degree holder who have plans to pursue PhD programme. Moreover, the ideal candidate should have a good personality, is independent and know hows to iron clothes, The Star reported.
His post also listed some of the perks of becoming his wife.
“I’ve got everything covered such as our house, transportation, education fees for our children and everything we need after our wedding,” said Dr Ariff.
Not only that, there’s also a guest room for the wife’s parents when they’re visiting. What a thoughtful son-in-law.
The Facebook post has since gone viral with over 900 shares and 1,500 comments as of 5 pm yesterday. The post even spread to Twitter. Malaysians got your back Ariff!
However, the overwhelming response proved too much for him to take in.
“I have temporarily deactivated the Facebook account and shall wait for the situation to calm down before I make a choice,” he said.
“I’m the eldest one among my siblings. My parents have been asking me frequently about getting married because my life has long been stable,” he said.
The status was originally shared among his friends and he did not expect the status to go viral.
Ladies, if you’re interested, please drink more teh tarik so that Dr Ariff will be tertarik with you.
Then again, if you’re single, I suppose this is a good idea with Valentines Day coming soon!
