Sometimes, many of us often forget how lucky and privileged we were as kids when we could afford proper stationery for school.
Yesterday, this primary school teacher tweeted about one of her young students. She was shocked when she noticed her student taking out a “Kotex” package out of her school bag.
However, she soon found out that her student actually used the package to store her pencils and other stationery!
In her tweet, the primary school teacher said,
“I was shocked to see what my student brought to class. When I checked what was inside, I found colour pencils. It’s okay, lah. As long as she can keep her pencils properly.”
Feeling bad that her student didn’t have a decent pencil box, this kind-hearted teacher decided to get a brand new one for her!
It was a good thing there were extra prizes from a recent school competition so the teacher could give one of the new pencil boxes for her student.
Needless to say, the young primary school student was very happy that she finally has a proper place to store all her stationery instead of using an old plastic bag meant for sanitary napkins.
It’s caring teachers like this woman that give us hope for the future! And this story definitely reminds us to always be grateful with what you have, not complain about what you don’t.
