The Malayan Secret Society TikTok page recently shared CCTV footage of a woman who allegedly disguised herself as a wedding guest to steal valuables from a house in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.
During the incident on Saturday (February 1) at about 12:40pm, the woman apparently entered a home where a wedding banquet was taking place, under the guise of being a guest, to use the washroom.

Through CCTV footage from inside the home, the woman was seen taking a handbag from the top of a shelf before walking away. The handbag allegedly contained RM2,500 cash.

Malayan Secret Society wrote, “Disguised as a guest, she used the toilet and stole RM2,500 in cash.”
Netizens shared their two cents
Many have since shared that this is why it is highly encouraged to keep valuables locked up safely during banquets at home or to just carry out banquets in halls.

“The reason why many people are holding (banquets) at halls or outside of their homes these days. As there are always those who will steal things.”

“I trust no one. This is among the reasons why people no longer hold wedding banquets at home.”

“This is why no one does banquets in their own homes these days. There are too many cases like this.”

“Even if you want to hold banquets at home, there must be a room where all the valuables are kept locked up, and the key cannot be given to anyone to hold. And these days, you have to assume the worst (of people) first.”
