Face shields for the atas people.

LV is launching a plastic face shield for those who want to protect themselves during the pandemic with branded gear. This face shield will be sold for about RM4000. The very pricey personal protective equipment (PPE) will be on sale on the 30th of October as part of the brand’s 2021 Cruise Collection.

According to the New York Post, LV has promoted the face shield as an attractive headpiece which is both stylish and functional. The hard plastic face shield can be flipped up like a visor which transforms it into a hat. Other than protecting the wearer from airborne droplets containing the virus, the LV face shield will also protect the wearer from harmful rays from the sun as the clear covering will transition turn darker in bright sunlight.

However, the effectiveness of face shields are unknown at this time as mentioned by he Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. So it would be best to still wear your surgical face mask to reduce the risk of spreading or contracting the Covid-19 virus. At the end of the day, if you feel like getting one, there’s nothing that can be done to stop you. You might be RM4000 poorer, but you will be one stylish individual! So atas!
