Most of the time, when there are incidents on Malaysian roads involving motorcyclists, we always blame Mat Rempits for the nuisance.

But what if, for once, it’s not exactly their fault?

The 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page recently shared a video of Mat Rempits running a traffic light just as it was turning green. They were about 1 second early?

Just seconds later, a lorry comes plowing through, merely missing the motorcyclists who then scurried away. The lorry driver managed to slam their brakes and spin to a stop without hitting anyone.

The location of this incident is unknown.

People have since decided that both parties are to blame, considering both the Mat Rempits and the lorry driver ran their respective traffic lights.

Lorry 6

“Both are wrong. The lorry wants to try and beat the yellow light. The motorcycle kids want to try to journey to another realm.”

Lorry 7

“Both parties are not following the traffic light.”

Lorry 8

“Halfway after they (Mat Rempits) moved, their light turned green. This means that the traffic light facing the lorry had turned red for a while.”

Why lorry emergency brake? Should go straight without stop…为何罗里不直接向前冲把这几只国宝撞倒…
