Accidents can happen anywhere to anybody, even when driving at lower speeds or in the most unexpected areas. But no one would ever expect it to happen at a gas station.

User @anthraxxx781 shared a distressing video that happened near Manjalara in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. The incident was captured by a Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) camera positioned at the gas station.

A statement by JSPT KL revealed that a driver went through a frightening ordeal when a reversing lorry unexpectedly struck and overturned his car at a local gas station.

The driver of the car was initially observed waiting to exit the gas station and merge onto the main road. However, the situation turned chaotic when a lorry abruptly reversed at the station, colliding forcefully with the back of the victim’s vehicle.

The investigation into the incident indicated that the lorry driver, transporting goods, failed to properly engage the handbrake while parking.

The truck driver, a 52-year-old man, left the truck to go to the counter for payment. Meanwhile, the truck moved in reverse and collided with a stationary car at the gas station intersection, attempting to enter the main road.

Fortunately, the accident did not result in any injuries for both drivers and the public.
