Ever wondered why all job vacancies seem to come from faraway places? Well, it looks like Waze has come to the rescue!

For the first time ever, GRADUAN is collaborating with Waze to help Malaysians search for jobs based on their location.

GRADUAN’s director, Nabil Marie told Malaysian Digest that this a great opportunity for people to find jobs.

If you’re not familiar with Waze (have you been living under a rock?!), it’s a community-based GPS app that has saved countless Malaysians’ lives from the horrors of traffic. GRADUAN on the other hand, is a website for job applicants to look for employment.

With the unlikely collaboration between these two companies, one doesn’t need to go on multiple platforms just to look for work anymore!

Here’s how you can use Waze to look for jobs according to GRADUAN’s director;

  1. Search ‘GRADUAN’ on Waze
  2. Jobs located within a 5 kilometer radius from your current location will pop up!
  3. Select whichever relevant company interests you, and you can check out more information by selecting “read more about this advertiser”

GRADUAN’s Nabil Marie said,

“Many people and fresh graduates can use the app without having to use old methods such as searching through online portals.”

The director proudly announced that there are over 100 companies that are working with GRADUAN to offer jobs, even major companies such as Sime Darby and Maybank.

“You can find jobs near your house or anywhere else actually. As for now, the application is available in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Penang and Johor.”

“Aside from offering jobs, GRADUAN wants to help ease the job search procedure for everyone so that the unemployment rate can decrease in this country.”

Indeed, it really is very easy to use! All you have to do is open the Waze app and little paper aeroplane icons will pop up on your map. Those icons indicate job vacancies at that location.

You can tap on the icon and more information will appear, such as the company’s name, address, and other info. You can even access the website through this method as well.
