You’ve all seen Musang King durian cake and ice cream, now get ready for the liqueur!
A Malaysian company called Tropical Wine Sdn Bhd has garnered durian lovers’ attention worldwide when they created the first ever batch of Musang King liqueur in June 2017, and they named the product Dorian-Inside.
Not many of us have come across this amazing drink (we just know it’s amazing because it’s made of Musang King durian) because they were shipped to China where it received fantastic reactions among the Chinese durian lovers.

Fast forward to today on 10 September 2018, the company has officially launched Dorian-Inside in Taiping, Perak and what’s even more impressive is that they have made it into The Malaysia Book of Records for being the ‘First Commercial Durian Liqueur’ in the world! Woohoo!

According to their official website, Dorian-Inside is an undistilled durian liqueur produced through special alcohol formulation. The liqueur is brewed from 100% pure and mouth-watering Musang King durian flesh.
“With 18% undistilled alcohol, prepared to the finest quality, our Musang King liqueur is here to offer you an excellent fusion of flavours that is unprecedented.”
The ingredients used to create this heavenly drink are:
- Musang King durian flesh
- Ethanol
- Sugar
- Approved emulsifier
Nutritional value wise, durian is a potent source of vitamins and minerals. It helps boost immunity, improve digestion and maintain optimal hormones levels to prevent anaemia, insomnia, and depression. No one can eat a piece of Musang King durian and still feel sad okay, it’s impossible.
