After his recent turnaround on how he felt about Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s appointment as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia, PN’s Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin appears to be reflecting on the sadness and disappointment he is currently feeling.
In a post shared on his Instagram where he appeared to be hugging his wife, Muhyiddin wrote, “This heartbreak has reminded me of the support of the people on the path of this struggle. I am also an ordinary person, who has feelings of sadness and disappointment.”
“When I hugged my wife, I not only felt the calmness of my heart, but also the spaciousness in my chest, as well as God’s destiny.”
“There were shouts of support from all of you during the campaign, and supportive comments from my dear people’s brothers and sisters on social media,” he said to his supporters.
“I know. I am not alone. With me there are brothers and sisters who remain standing. Helping me to keep walking and running on the path of this struggle. I realise, this fight is not mine. This struggle belongs to us together, as Malaysians.”
Muhyiddin went on to urge his supporters not to feel sad even though the path they’re on is difficult.
He wrote, “This road is a long road. We will not stop from continuing to walk the deck because of the obstacles. Remember that the torch of struggle continues to burn. Be strong and persevere. If we are patient, and stick to the nation’s trust and are sincere in our struggle, God willing, there will always be a light at the end of the road.”
In the conclusion of his post, Muhyiddin thanked his supporters and the rakyat.
“Reassure the heart that tomorrow is still there. We will build a better Malaysia with all the power we have, in whatever capacity we have. Remember, Malaysia belongs to all of us together.”
