Malaysia’s men’s singles badminton shuttler extraordinaire, Lee Zii Jia (World ranking: 7), will not be moving forward to the finals of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In an insane match with Thailand’s Kunlavut Viditsarn (World ranking: 8), Lee Zii Jia ultimately lost both rounds, with scores of 14-21 and 15-21 respectively.

We’re still immensely grateful for Lee Zii Jia’s efforts in battling it out on the court to make Malaysia proud!

Thankfully, he still has the chance to bring home the bronze medal in the upcoming bronze medal match happening tomorrow (August 5) at 8:30pm, against India’s Lakshya Sen (World ranking: 22).

Do stay tuned for more updates.
